China Adds One More SSAT Test Center to the Capital

Beijing's Keystone Academy Now An SSAT Center
Beijing’s Keystone Academy Now An SSAT Center

Keystone Academy is now an approved location to take the SSAT in China, making it one of only two test centers in the capital city. Students can take the SSAT in the spacious and serene campus of this school. On 4 November, the SSAT Senior Director of Outreach and Business Development, Aimee Gruber, who visited the Keystone campus, was satisfied with the school’s test preparedness. So were the 70 students who took their test at the Academy on 15 November — much less stressful than taking the test amidst 500 students. The SSAT is the secondary school admission test for students applying to boarding schools, like Keystone Academy, around the world. Students take the test to demonstrate their readiness for English college preparatory programs.

Keystone requires the SSAT score for applicants to grades 8-10, but it serves as an open test site for all Chinese students who need to take the test. The Academy is also a college preparatory boarding school that combines Chinese, American and international learning traditions into a powerful bilingual education model from foundation year to grade 12. It is open to Chinese and international students. It provides a special, only one of its kind in Beijing, opportunity for Chinese and international students to get a world education. For Chinese students, Keystone offers an education deeply rooted in Chinese culture and history right here at home — a dream come true for most Chinese parents at home and abroad. For international students, it is a compelling opportunity to expand their awareness by being immersed in the language and customs of the Chinese culture. Keystone’s teaching approach emphasizes inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and creative problem solving, and prepares all students for the challenges of life at university and the modern world.

About Keystone Academy: Keystone Academy is a non-profit, philanthropic educational venture governed by a board of trustees. The school blends distinctive traditions in eastern, western, and international education, creating a “new world school” that is academically outstanding and a new model of education in China. At Keystone, we embrace a world that is dynamic and ever changing. We learn from and we learn for this enterprising, global community.
